Cortec®’s VpCI®-414 is a non-toxic, biodegradable, water soluble cleaner concentrate.This heavy-duty temporary coating and wax remover is extremely effective in the removal of dirt, oils and greases or other cosmoline-like products.As a viscous liquid, VpCI®-414 is ideal for under-hanging and vertical applications. After rinsing with water,VpCI®-414 will provide multimetal corrosion protection for 24 to 48 hours.
Cortec®’s VpCI®-415/416/417/418/419 products are heavy-duty cleaners and degreasers which provide the first step needed in preventing rust and corrosion. Unlike many industrial cleaners, VpCI®-415/416/417/418/419 are non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-flammable cleaner that also provide multimetal corrosion protection. VpCI®-415 offers unique flash corrosion protection and is formulated to meet the requirements for cleaning and corrosion protection of aircraft. VpCI®-415 conforms to MIL-PRF-87937C. VpCI®-416 is a liquid, water-based, environmentally friendly and nitrite-free product.The low foaming VpCI®-417 and 418 powders are excellent for power washing equipment and agitation tanks.VpCI®-419 is a liquid chemical concentrate that is ideal for low foaming floor cleaning applications.

Cortec®’s VpCI®-432/433 Paint Strippers and Cleaners are environmentally safe for removing paint from metal, wood and concrete, as well as providing protection against corrosion, flash rusting and discoloring of stainless steel, iron, copper, aluminum and brass.The heavy-duty formulation, which removes paint in three to thirty minutes, also effectively removes graffiti from concrete.These paint strippers, developed with maximum user safety in mind, do not contain many of the chemicals — such as methylene chloride, chlorinated solvents, methanol, toluene and acetone — found in other competing products. Cortec®’s VpCI®-432/433 Paint Strippers are formulated to remove urethanes and difficult-to-remove epoxies.They can handle the toughest coatings, yet are very safe compared to heavy-duty paint strippers. Cortec’s VpCI®-422 and VpCI®-423 are non-polluting heavy duty rust removal products which can be easily and safely applied to most metals (steel rust removal is the most common application) .These products are based on a new chemical breakthrough to remove rust from metal and tarnish from steel, cast iron, copper, brass and chrome. Unlike other products currently available, these formulations are not based on hazardous acids, and when used correctly will not harm human skin or adversely affect most paints, plastics, wood, textiles, ceramics or rubber.
VpCI®-422 and VpCI®-423 are completely organic, 100% biodegradable and don't require special disposal for typical use. It is especially helpful for outdoor and marine applications where chemical waste disposal can be a problem. In rare situations, waste treatment may be required if a sufficient quantity of pollutants are introduced into the chemical solution. Both VpCI®-422 and VpCI®-423 are awarded with a USDA Certified Biobased Label.

EcoClean® Rust and Scale Remover is a heavy duty biodegradable scale and rust remover. It is one of the fastest acting products on the market for dissolving heavy scale, corrosion, and naturally occurring oxides off metals. It is effective and safe rust removal on cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, magnesium, and their alloys. Powerful corrosion inhibitors contained in the scale remover protect treated metals from flash rust. EcoClean® Scale Remover is simple to use and non-toxic, providing one safe remover for all your descaling and de-rusting needs.
EcoClean® Scale Remover is awarded with a USDA Certified Biobased Label (USDA#5564). It is easily biodegradable.
For water-soluble pouch form, use one pouch for every 4 gallons of water. Simply throw the pouch in the water. It will dissolve upon entering water and release the scale remover inside. It is particularly convenient for rust removal and scale removal where water circulates, as in many heatexchanger or pipe systems. For powder form, add 7% (by weight) in water. For ready-to-use liquid form, add 1 part product to 2 parts water.

When removing rust may proove to be inconvenient, CorrVerter® is a fast drying, water-based one coat system (Primer Coating) rust converter that converts rusted surfaces to a hydrophobic passive layer and prevents further rusting thru the unique formulation of chelating agents and PVC resins. It provides long term corrosion protection by itself or by topcoating for extended performance.
Application: Substrate should be free of grease, oil, dirt, fingerprints, drawing compounds, rust inhibitors, or any other surface contamination that could affect adhesion. For production line applications, use VpCI®-440 or similar phosphatizing pre-treatment.

VpCI®-440 is a water-based surface pretreatment for steel, iron, aluminum, brass, copper, zinc and other metals. VpCI®-440 can replace phosphatizing and chromating systems. VpCI®-440 will help Coatings adhere better to hard to adhere to surfaces, such as increasing the adhesion of a powder coating to aluminum.
Dip the parts for 5 minutes in a tank of diluted VpCI®-440 and allow to dry. Once parts are dry to the touch, usually within 5-10 minutes, the parts can be handled and painted.
